DNN V10 page permissions

The DNN page permissions have changed to include additional workflow options that will be available to use (if required) in future versions.

Current page permissions

The current page workflow is:

  1. Create a new page with All Users / View & Edit OFF whilst creating
  2. Change All Users / View to ON and Edit to OFF to publish
  3. All future edits are direct publish

 

NOTE: The above permissions can apply per module on a page.

New Permissions

The V10 permissions have added some default roles to the system as well as more granular control over pages and content. However these are not currently being used but will provide the ability to have draft/publish workflows in the future.

The above process still applies (hide new pages and direct-publish future changes once live).

NOTE: All users will become Content Managers when upgraded from pre V10 versions of the system.
