Using the Rich Text Editor

Most Apps allow you to enter rich text in a Word style editor, this has multiple modes which are explained below.

Minimal Mode

In minimal mode (default) just the basics needed for quick editing text are included.

	Undo and re-do content changes in the current editing session
	Remove formatting - select the text and click on this to remove any formatting (useful if content is pasted from MS Word or another website)
	Text formatting options (select the text to change)
	Select on of the pre-defined headings (it's important to use these to keep formatting consistent across the whole site rather than change font sizes etc.)
	Create ordered and un-ordered lists
	Simple link or link-to-page
	View the source code
	Switch to full screen mode

The editor will resize to the height of the screen.

Editing options are the same as Minimal mode.

This allows ALL features of the rich text editor to be used.

Editing options are the same as above with these additional features:

	Select any paragraph type:
	Add image (upload or from system/other site), click on the arrow to show options: Upload image to this content app Select existing image from system Add URL to external image
	Upload and add link to file, cllick on the arrow to show options: Upload file to this content app Select existing file from system
	Add link to other pages and URLs, click on the arrow to show options: Simple link Link to page Link to anchor in current page
	Edit options, click to see options: NOTE: If you are pasting from MS Word or other websites its best practice to use the Paste as text option
	Insert media, click to see options: Simple image link (to URL) Simple link (to URL) Link to media (e.g. YouTube embed) Table (select the size of the table, see editing tables below) Special characters Line Anchor (this adds an anchor which can be linked to using the Anchor link option above)
